I recently read the book Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman, which I can highly recommend. His examples and research grounded insights on EI, and many on how men and women think, act, and feel differently are truly insightful.
Thank you for starting this conversation Jennifer! I love that you share your experiences, and so motivate other female and male leaders to share theirs, so that we can rise to a higher level of energy together on the work floor. Hopefully to a level of empathy and compassion at the least. The example of the situation that you experienced, the leadership round, is painfully recognizable. How can we minimize the double standard is a question I’d love to take forward.
